Mary J. Blige To Join Tyler Perry Movie

Tyler Perry is adding some harmony to his next movie.  He has cast nine time Grammy winner Mary J. Blige in "I Can Do Bad All By Myself," an adaptation of one of his early plays.

In the film, Blige will play a nightclub manager and singer who is good friends with Taraji P. Henson's character.  Madea, Perry's most iconic creation, will also appear in the movie, which is shooting at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta.

The film is due to hit theaters September 11.  I'm sure this will be an interesting flick!

Flix: Alicia Keys Speaks At Washington's H.S. For Women's History

Alicia Keys spoke yesterday at Dunbar High School in Washington, DC for their celebration of Women's History Month.

Alicia was joined by her mother, Terri Joseph and General Ann Dunwoody (commanding General of U.S. Army Material Command) and several students in a round table discussion.

Also, Alicia Keys met up with First Lady Michelle Obama who also did a speech in the Diplomat Room of the White House for Women's History Month.

Rihanna Goes Clubbing, Gets Pulled Over By Police

Attempting to get her life back to some normalcy, Rihanna decided to hit up one of Hollywood's hostspot Les Deux last night.

After partying and drinking away her worries with fellow celebrity friends Katy Perry and Hayden Panettiere, Rihanna makes her way to her car with the help of one of her beefy bodyguards.

Unfortunately, Ri-Ri's driver ran a red light and was pulled over by the LAPD and given a ticket.

Beyonce was caught on camera yesterday getting a little shopping done at Patricia Fields in Manhattan's East Village.

Beyonce was all smiles for the paparazzi as she left the shop sporting that enormous handbag.

In recent news, Beyonce talked to Vogue magazine about how amazing it is to see the amount of influence celebrities have over kids..."The amount of influence I have on these young girls is scary sometimes.  But I also understand how lucky I am to have that."

Kanye West, Taraji P. Henson In "Family Guy" Spin-Off

There is going to be a spin-off of Family Guy and Kanye West and Taraji P. Henson will both lend their voices.

The Cleveland Show will star Cleveland, the Griffin family's slow-talking neighbor.  While it's not clear who Taraji will do the voice of, but Kanye will be doing the voice of an up and coming rapper Kenny West.

I have never been a big fan of Family Guy due to its adult content and my daughter couldn't watch, but I'm sure Kanye and Taraji will do a splendid job.

The spin-off will air in 2010.

Flix: "The Lena Baker Story" Atlanta Premiere Red Carpet

Two of the Atlanta Housewives, Kandi & Lisa hit the red carpet with Tichina Arnold for the premiere of her film, "Hope and Redemption:  The Lena Baker Story."

Tichina has been working on this independent film for a while and its premiere was over the weekend.  The film is about the first black woman to be executed by electrocution in the state of Georgia.

I'm guessing Kandi is telling Tichina that she is the newest ATL housewife and she too is shocked because Kandi has no husband!

Kandi fashion is on point and of course Lisa's husband was there (why wouldn't he?)

Neffe Is Pregnant

Keyshia Cole's sister Neffe has confirmed to S2S that she is preggers again!  

Neffe and her new man, Soullow (pronounced so-lo) sat down with founder and publisher of S2S, Jamie Brown and gave the scoop on their unexpected pregnancy.

"I'm pregnant and I got an attitude with him and don't want him to f***ing touch me right now - or ever, Neffe told Jamie.  Because I-was not supposed to happen this way.  Now I'm trying to figure this s**t out, 'cause I just had Jaylen."

The happy couple are unsure how far along she is, but she is very happy and says "she is a good mother."  This child would be the first for the couple and would make it Neffe's fifth child.  Neffe is also raising her ex-husband's children.

Fresh out of jail, Gucci Mane hit up the studio with OJ Da Juice Man and Mya to record a mixtape and celebrate his release from county jail.  He also performed live at ESSO on Friday night!

Then, the next night, Gucci and Mya hit up the VIP section of Studio 72.  I'm sure you have heard rumors of a couple swirling, but I just think the two were together because of the track they are recording, I could be wrong.  If I am wrong, I know I will receive a plethora of emails.

Rihanna To Remake "The Bodyguard"

The New York Daily News is reporting that Rihanna might be following in the footsteps of Whitney Houston.  

Ri-Ri was reportedly in New York over the weekend to discuss details of her possibly starring in the re-make of the 1992 hit movie, "The Bodyguard," which starred Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner. 

Also, Ri-Ri was in talks of doing a sequel to "Charlie Angels," but her plans of doing movies were put on hold due to her situation with Chris Brown.
