Chris Brown Woos Rihanna With Birthday Gifts
Despite facing possible jail time for the alleged assault on Rihanna, Chris Brown sent his boo a diamond bracelet and necklace.
A source told New York Daily News that Chris Brown called to wish Rihanna a happy birthday and that she wanted him to be with her on her special day, but realizes she can't right now.
I know a lot of you will be heartbroken WHEN Rihanna forgives Chris Brown and goes back to him. I never made any comments on this situation, but I think I already knew that outcome...see it everyday with regular couples, so imagine with celebrities!

2009 Academy Awards Red Carpet Favorites
Queen Latifah hits the red carpet in this blue number. I was really feeling this get up until I saw the bottom of it, but...
Viola Davis looks stunning as she stepped on the red carpet with her husband (not pictured). She is nominated for her role in "Doubt."
Taraji P. Henson came dressed for the occasion on the red carpet for this year's Oscars. She is nominated for best supporting actress for her role in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."
Beyonce showed off her curves in this black strapless gown with gold accents on the red carpet. She is scheduled to partake in a "secret" song and dance later in the show. Updates to follow.
Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montanna) made an early appearance on the red carpet with her mom Leticia Cyrus on her arm as her date. This ends the speculations of Miley's underwear model boyfriend Jastin Gastin would be escorting her to the ceremony. Miley's dress is gorgeous and her mom's isn't too bad, either!

T.I. in Court...Talking to Students
"You can see from me that nobody is too rich, too famous, too cool, too good-looking or too young to make a mistake and pay a price for it. Education is more important than any material thing you can have. The things you do not have in your life, the things you do not have in your possession, will be a reflection of the things you have not learned."
In about a month, T.I. will begin a yearlong federal prison sentence. This talk with those high school students from across Metro Atlanta is part of the 1,000 hours of community service as part of his guilty plea.
I really hope T.I. is getting across to these young people, because I spend a lot of my instructional time in the classroom stressing the importance of education and staying out of trouble.

Celebs Celebrate the Launch of "Grand Theft Auto IV"
Some of music's elite and Hip Hop's top beat makers were out last night to celebrate the upcoming (February 17th) launch of "Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned" put on by Rockstar Games, Xbox 360, and Konsole Kingz.
Big Boi of Outkast and Slim both received limited-edition Xbox 360 "Th Lost and Damned" consoles. Mr. ColliPark, DJ Drama, DJ Cannon, and NoID were also in attendance.

Kanye Devastated About Rihanna + T.I. Speaks To Chris Brown
Kanye West went on the Ryan Seacrest breakfast show in Los Angeles to pay tribute to Rihanna and admitted that he is "completely devastated" about the brawl between Rihanna and boyfriend Chris Brown.
"I feel like Rihanna is so imporant to our culture, to pop music...I feel like she is the most important artist in music and has the most potential. She has the potential to be the greatest artist of all time. That's my baby sister and I will do any and everything to help her situation."
I guess Kanye is trying to be supportive, but I hope he actually reached out to Rihanna to offer his support over the phone!
While promoting his reality show on the Carson Daily show, T.I. says he has spoken with Chris Brown on the phone and Chris Breezy is "worried about what's going to happen to his career."
I'm glad to see T.I. reaching out to Chris Brown and I know he gave him some good advice. Chris Brown has lost a lot of respect of the people and his endorsements. I just hope he seeks help for his problem - hitting women!

Chris Brown Arrested, Missed Grammy's, Released All In One Day
Brown was arrested on domestic violence felony battery related to an attack on a woman he'd been riding in a car with who sustained 'visible injuries.'
In what may or may not be related news, Rihanna canceled her Grammy appearance tonight after sustaining a bruised face in what sources called a car accident.

I have tried all week not to post about any of is foolish beef between 50 & Rick Ross or this foolishness that Etta James started with Beyonce, but I just can't resist talking about this ole bitty for talking ish 'bout my president, Barack Obama and inviting Bey to a catfight!
